How to Control & Use This Controller

  1. Select Output Current: Before installation, use the DIP switch on the controller to select the correct output current (350mA, 700mA, or 1050mA) that matches your LED fixtures' specifications.
  2. Connect Power Supply: Wire the DC output from your 12V to 48V power supply to the controller's main power input terminals (V+ and V-).
  3. Connect LED Loads: Wire your constant current LED fixtures to the four output channels (CH1, CH2, CH3, CH4). Ensure the polarity is correct for each connection.
  4. Pair with Remote Control: Press the 'Learning Key' on the R4-CC receiver. Then, immediately press the desired zone key on your compatible Ltech RF remote. A flash from the connected LEDs will confirm a successful pairing.
  5. Test System: Power on the system and use the paired remote to test all functions, including on/off, dimming, and zone control, to ensure everything is working correctly.
⚠ Precautions
  • This is a constant current (CC) controller. Do NOT use it with standard constant voltage (CV) LED strip lights.
  • Ensure the input voltage from your power supply is within the DC 12V-48V range.
  • Do not exceed the maximum power rating of 48.3W per channel or 193.2W total for the controller.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is a constant current (CC) receiver used for?

A:A CC receiver delivers a stable, fixed amperage (e.g., 350mA) required by high-power LED chips found in spotlights and downlights. This protects them from overcurrent damage and ensures consistent brightness.

Q: How do I choose the right output current on the R4-CC?

A:You must match the controller's output current to the specification of your LED fixture. The setting is selected using a physical DIP switch on the unit before you connect the lights.

Q: Which remotes are compatible with this receiver?

A:The R4-CC is designed to work with Ltech's DX series 2.4GHz RF wireless remotes and compatible WiFi gateways for app control. It enables sophisticated multi-zone control.

Q: Can I use this with regular 12V or 24V LED tape light?

A:No. This controller is strictly for constant current LED fixtures. Standard LED tape light requires a constant voltage (CV) controller, such as the Ltech R4-5A.

Q: What kind of power supply is needed?

A:You will need a constant voltage DC power supply with an output between 12V and 48V. The exact voltage and wattage rating depends on the requirements of the LED lights you are connecting.
