How to Install & Use This LED Neon Light
- Plan your layout and measure the required length. For full 5-meter runs, we strongly recommend the 24V version for optimal, consistent brightness.
- If needed, cut the neon strip ONLY on the designated cutting marks printed on the side of the strip.
- Secure the neon strip in place using aluminum mounting channels or clips. Installation accessories are here to buy.
- Connect the strip's wires to a compatible DC power supply. Ensure the power supply wattage exceeds the total wattage of the strip by at least 20%.
- For RGB versions, connect to an RGB controler. For the DMX512 version, connect to a DMX controller or decoder.
- If you have cut the strip, you must seal the new end with a compatible end cap and silicone adhesive to restore its water resistance. The factory-molded end cap provides the highest IP68 rating.
- Voltage Drop Warning: The 12V version may experience a slight drop in brightness towards the end of a full 5-meter (16.4ft) roll. For perfectly uniform brightness, select the 24V option.
- Do not bend the strip sharper than its recommended minimum bend radius to avoid damaging the internal PCB.
- Always disconnect the power supply before cutting or making connections.
- The factory IP68 rating applies to the uncut strip with its injection-molded ends. Any user-made cuts must be properly re-sealed to be waterproof.
