Product Information

Streamline your PC build with the 3-Pin DC5V Motherboard Sync Splitter Cable, the essential accessory for creating a unified, vibrant lighting system. Designed specifically for PC modders and builders, this cable takes a single 3-pin 5V addressable RGB (ARGB) header on your motherboard and expands it into four JST outputs. It's the perfect solution for synchronizing multiple ARGB cooling fans or WS2812B LED light strips with your motherboard's native lighting software. Eliminate cable clutter and achieve perfectly coordinated lighting effects across your entire system. Available with either male or female JST connectors, this plug-and-play splitter makes complex lighting setups simple and clean.

Key Features

1-to-4 ARGB Expansion

Transforms a single 3-pin 5V motherboard header into four synchronized JST outputs, simplifying cable management.

Seamless Motherboard Sync

Enables full software control for synchronized lighting effects compatible with major motherboard ARGB ecosystems.

Broad Device Compatibility

Perfectly suited for connecting 3-pin addressable devices like WS2812B LED strips and ARGB cooling fans.

Solder-Free Installation

Features standard JST-SM connectors for a secure, plug-and-play connection without any soldering required.

Flexible Connector Options

Available with either Male or Female JST connectors to perfectly match the wiring of your specific LED strips or fans.

Technical Highlights

  • Reliably splits the 5V addressable data signal for consistent color and animation across all four outputs.
  • Constructed with high-quality wiring to ensure stable voltage and data transmission.
  • Standardized 3-pin layout (5V, Data, Ground) for universal compatibility with ARGB motherboard headers.

Application Scenarios

Unified PC Case Lighting Connect multiple WS2812B LED strips within your computer case to a single motherboard header. Achieve perfectly synchronized, software-controlled ambient lighting that highlights your components and creates a professional, seamless aesthetic.
Synchronized Cooling Fan RGB Control the addressable RGB lighting on up to four case or radiator fans from one ARGB header. This ensures your fan colors and effects match your motherboard, RAM, and GPU lighting for a totally cohesive look.
DIY Electronics & Maker Projects Beyond PC modding, this splitter is an excellent tool for Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or other microcontroller projects. Efficiently distribute a single data signal to multiple addressable LED strips for custom lighting displays, art installations, or prototypes.

How to Use This Splitter Cable

  1. Ensure your PC is completely powered off and unplugged from the wall outlet.
  2. Locate a vacant 3-pin, 5V addressable RGB header on your motherboard. It may be labeled 'ADD_HEADER', 'JRAINBOW', 'ARGB', or similar.
  3. Align the arrow on the splitter's motherboard connector with the +5V pin on the header and plug it in securely.
  4. Connect your WS2812B LED strips or ARGB cooling fans to the four JST output connectors on the splitter.
  5. Power on your PC. Use your motherboard's lighting software (e.g., ASUS Aura Sync, MSI Mystic Light, Gigabyte RGB Fusion) to detect and control the connected devices.
⚠ Precautions
  • This cable is designed for DC 5V systems ONLY. Connecting it to a 12V 4-pin RGB header will permanently damage your 5V devices.
  • Verify the total amperage of all connected devices does not exceed your motherboard header's maximum output (typically 3A). Consult your motherboard manual for specifications.
  • This is a signal splitter, not a controller. All four connected devices will mirror the same lighting effect; they cannot be controlled independently.

What's in the Box

  • 1 x 3-Pin Motherboard to 4-Way JST Sync Splitter Cable (in selected gender)

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Will this work with my 4-pin 12V RGB LED strips?

A:No, this splitter is exclusively for 3-pin 5V addressable RGB (ARGB) devices. Using it with 12V RGB components will cause permanent damage.

Q: Can I control each of the four connected devices with a different color?

A:No, this is a splitter that duplicates the signal. All four devices connected to it will display the exact same color and lighting pattern simultaneously.

Q: What is the difference between the Male and Female options?

A:This refers to the four JST output connectors. Check your LED strips or fans to see if they have male or female plugs, and order the opposite connector type to ensure they fit together.

Q: Is this compatible with Corsair iCUE or NZXT CAM software?

A:No, this cable is designed for standard 3-pin 5V ARGB motherboard headers. Corsair and NZXT use proprietary connectors and control systems that are not compatible.

Q: How many LEDs can I connect in total?

A:The total number of LEDs is limited by your motherboard's header power output, typically around 3 Amps. Check your motherboard's manual for the specific limit to avoid overloading it.

Q: Can I use this for an Arduino or Raspberry Pi project?

A:Absolutely. It's an excellent way to split the data signal from a microcontroller's GPIO pin to drive multiple addressable LED strips in a DIY project.
