How to Wire & Install This Power Supply

  1. Safety First: Disconnect all power at the circuit breaker before beginning installation. If you are unsure about wiring, consult a qualified electrician.
  2. Calculate Load: Sum the total wattage of your LED lights. For optimal performance and longevity, your total load should not exceed 80% of the driver's capacity (160W for this 200W model).
  3. Set Input Voltage: Before connecting power, ensure the voltage selector switch on the side of the unit is set to match your local mains power (110V or 220V).
  4. Connect AC Input: Wire your mains power to the AC input terminals. Connect Live to 'L', Neutral to 'N', and Ground to the 'GND' or ground symbol (⏚).
  5. Connect Dimmer (If Used): For Triac dimming, wire the dimmer on the AC input side. For 0-10V dimming, connect your controller's 0-10V signal wires to the designated 'DIM+' and 'DIM-' terminals.
  6. Connect DC Output: Connect the wires from your 12V LED lights to the DC output terminals. Ensure correct polarity: connect the positive wire to '+V' and the negative wire to '-V'.
  7. Test System: Restore power at the breaker and test the lights and dimming functionality. Once confirmed, you can complete the final installation.

A:Triac dimming is common in residential settings, using a standard wall dimmer on the high-voltage AC side. 0-10V dimming is a low-voltage method used in commercial systems for more precise control. Q: How many feet of 12V LED strip can this 200W power supply run?

A:It depends on the wattage per foot of your strip. To find out, multiply the strip's W/ft by the total length in feet. Ensure this total is under 160W (80% of 200W). For example, it can power up to 35 feet of a 4.5W/ft LED strip (35 * 4.5 = 157.5W).

Q: Is this an indoor or outdoor power supply?

A:This is a non-waterproof power supply designed for indoor use in dry locations only. It does not have an IP rating for outdoor exposure.

Q: Can I use this for my 24V LED strip lights?

A:No, this is a constant voltage 12V power supply. Using it with 24V strips will not work and may damage the strips. You must match the power supply voltage to your LED strip voltage.

Q: What happens if I connect too many lights and overload it?

A:The driver has built-in overload protection. It will automatically shut down to protect itself and your lights. To resolve this, reduce the load (remove some lights) and cycle the power.

Q: Does this LED driver make any noise?
