How to Use These Mounting Clips
- 1. Prepare the Surface: Thoroughly clean the installation surface to ensure it is smooth, dry, and completely free of dust, oils, and wax. Isopropyl alcohol is recommended for cleaning.
- 2. Peel the Backing: Carefully remove the red protective film from the 3M adhesive pad on the back of the clip.
- 3. Press Firmly: Position the clip and press it firmly against the surface for at least 10-15 seconds to ensure a strong bond.
- 4. Allow to Cure: For maximum adhesion, wait at least 12 hours before inserting your LED strip or cable into the clip. This allows the adhesive to fully set.
- 5. Install Strip: Gently snap your LED strip or cable into the clip. For long runs, space clips every 12-18 inches for optimal support.
- These clips are designed for smooth, non-porous surfaces. Avoid using on rough textures, fabric, or delicate wallpaper.
- The adhesive is very strong and intended for single use. Repositioning the clip after initial placement may reduce its effectiveness.
- When removing, peel slowly and carefully to minimize potential damage to the surface.
