How to Install & Use This LED Amplifier

  1. Ensure all power is disconnected before beginning installation.
  2. Connect a separate DC12V-24V power supply to the amplifier's 'POWER' input terminals, matching V+ and V- correctly.
  3. Connect the signal output wires from your main LED controller to the 'SIGNAL INPUT' side of the PA4 amplifier (V+, R, G, B, W).
  4. Connect the beginning of your new, extended LED strip section to the 'SIGNAL OUTPUT' side of the PA4 amplifier (V+, R, G, B, W).
  5. Double-check all connections for correct polarity and secure contact in the terminals.
  6. Restore power to the system. The extended LED strip should now perfectly mimic the color and brightness commands sent from your main controller.
⚠ Precautions
  • Always use a power supply with adequate wattage to support the LED strip connected to the amplifier's output.
  • The input voltage of the amplifier, power supply, and LED strips must all match (e.g., all 24V).
  • Do not exceed the maximum load of 6A per channel or a total of 15A for the entire amplifier.
  • This device is a signal amplifier, not a standalone controller. It must be used in conjunction with a primary PWM LED controller.

Q: Is this an RGB controller amplifier?

A:This is an amplifier that works with an RGB controller. It cannot control the lights by itself; it requires a primary controller to provide the signal that it then amplifies.

Q: Can I use the PA4 for a single color LED strip?

A:Yes, absolutely. You can connect a single color strip to one of the four channels, or you can power up to four separate single color LED strip lights, all controlled by their respective channels from the main controller.

Q: What is the difference between this PA4 and the PA5 model?

A:The PA4 is a 4-channel amplifier designed for Single Color, CCT, RGB, or RGBW strips. The PA5 is a 5-channel amplifier designed for RGBCCT LED Strip Lights, which have an additional channel for color temperature control.

Q: What size power supply do I need?

A:The power supply must be sized for the LED strip you are connecting to the amplifier's output. Calculate the total wattage of your strip segment (Length x Watts/meter) and choose a power supply rated at least 20% higher.
