How to Use This 6-Pin Hippo Connector
- Select the correct connector version for your strip: IP20 for bare strips or IP65 for strips with a silicone coating.
- If using a waterproof IP65 strip, carefully remove a small section of the top silicone coating to expose the six copper contact pads.
- Open the transparent hinged clasp on the hippo connector.
- Carefully slide the end of the 12mm RGBCCT LED strip into the connector's slot. Ensure the six copper pads on the strip align perfectly with the six metal pins inside the connector.
- Press the clasp down firmly until it snaps securely shut. This action pierces the strip's PCB, creating a solid electrical connection.
- Use the attached 3-meter wire to connect to your RGBCCT controller, power supply, or another wire run.
- Always double-check that the polarity markings on the LED strip align with the wire colors to avoid damage.
- This connector is designed exclusively for 12mm wide, 6-pin RGBCCT LED strips. It is not compatible with other widths, pin counts, or strip types.
- Ensure the connector clasp is fully and securely closed before applying power to the system.
