How to Control & Use This DMX Decoder

  1. Connect the DC 12V or 24V power source to the 'Input' terminals, ensuring correct polarity (V+ and V-).
  2. Connect the positive and negative wires from your single-color LED strip to the corresponding 'Output' terminals.
  3. Connect the DMX signal cable from your DMX512 master controller or the previous decoder in the chain to the 'DMX Signal Input' port.
  4. If adding more decoders, connect a DMX cable from the 'DMX Signal Output' of this unit to the input of the next.
  5. Use an RDM-enabled DMX controller to discover the decoder and assign its unique DMX start address. This decoder will occupy one address.
  6. Power on the entire system and use your DMX console to send dimming commands to the assigned address to test and control the connected LED strip.
⚠ Precautions
  • Always ensure the voltage of your power supply (12V or 24V) matches the voltage requirement of your LED strip.
  • The total power consumption of the connected LED strip must not exceed the decoder's maximum load of 20A.
  • Double-check all wiring polarity before applying power to prevent damage to the decoder or LED strip.
