How to Use This Connector
- Ensure your LED strip is compatible (5-Pin, 10mm or 12mm width, IP20) and cut it cleanly along the designated cut line.
- Carefully slide the end of the LED strip into the connector, ensuring the five copper pads on the strip align perfectly with the five metal pins inside the connector.
- For Strip-to-Wire types, insert the 5 individual wires into their respective channels.
- Using a pair of pliers (such as slip-joint or channel-lock pliers), apply firm, even pressure directly on top of the connector cover. The pins will pierce through the PCB or wire insulation to make contact.
- Tug gently on the strip and wire to confirm a secure connection has been made before powering on.
- These connectors are intended for use with IP20 non-waterproof LED strips only.
- Always double-check the polarity alignment (+, R, G, B, W) before closing and clamping the connector.
- Do not apply excessive force with the pliers, as this may damage the connector or the LED strip.
- This is a one-time use connector; once clamped, the piercing connection is permanent.
