How to Use This Connector
- Ensure the main power to your LED strips is disconnected.
- Select the connector size (8mm or 10mm) that matches the PCB width of your LED strips.
- Gently pry open the transparent clasp on one end of the connector.
- Cut your LED strip along the designated cut line. Slide the end of the strip into the connector, ensuring it goes underneath the metal contact prongs.
- Verify that the copper pads on the strip align with the prongs inside the connector. Pay close attention to polarity markings (+, G, R, B).
- Firmly snap the transparent clasp closed. You should feel a distinct click.
- Repeat steps 3-6 for the second LED strip segment on the other end of the connector.
- Reconnect power and test the connection to ensure all colors display correctly.
- This connector is designed exclusively for IP20 non-waterproof (bare PCB) LED strips. It will not work with strips that have a silicone or epoxy coating.
- Always double-check the polarity alignment (+ to +, G to G, etc.) before closing the clasps to prevent damage to your strips.
- Do not apply excessive force to the wire or connector. Ensure the clasps are fully closed to maintain a secure connection.
