Application Scenarios

Symmetrical Accent Lighting Ideal for creating perfectly mirrored backlighting on both sides of a TV, computer monitor, headboard, or bookshelf. Run a single wire from your controller and split it at the center for a clean, balanced look.
Complex Under-Cabinet & Cove Lighting Branch out your lighting runs in kitchens and living rooms. Use the splitter to send light in two different directions under cabinets or within a ceiling cove from a single power drop point, reducing wire clutter.
Retail Displays & Shelving Efficiently illuminate multiple shelves or display cases from one controller. This splitter simplifies wiring for retail product displays, saving time and creating a professional, uniform lighting effect.

How to Use This 5-Pin LED Splitter Cable

  1. Turn off all power to your lighting system before making any connections.
  2. Connect the single female end of the Y-splitter cable to the 5-pin output on your RGBW controller or the end of your primary LED strip.
  3. Connect the two female ends of the splitter to the input of the two separate RGBW LED strip lights you want to power.
  4. Use the included male-to-male 5-pin plugs to create a secure connection between the female cable ends and the female connectors on your strips.
  5. Ensure the arrows or pin indicators on the connectors are aligned to maintain correct polarity (+ to +, R to R, etc.).
  6. Secure the connections, restore power to the system, and test your lighting setup.
⚠ Precautions
  • This connector is designed exclusively for 5-pin RGBW/RGBWW LED strips. It is not compatible with 4-pin RGB or 6-pin RGBCCT strips.
  • This is a parallel splitter. Both connected light strips will receive the same signal and display the same color and pattern simultaneously.
  • Before installation, ensure your power supply has enough wattage to support the total combined power consumption of both connected LED strips.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I control the two connected LED strips independently with this splitter?

A:No, this is a parallel splitter. It sends the same signal to both strips, so they will always display the same color and mode. For independent control, you would need a multi-zone controller with separate outputs.

Q: Is this 5 pin led connector compatible with waterproof RGBW strips?

A:This connector is for non-waterproof strips. For waterproof strips with a silicone coating, you would need to carefully remove the coating from the connection pads before use.

Q: Why are there three male plugs included?

A:The splitter cable has three female ends (one input, two outputs). The male plugs are used to connect these female ends to the female connectors typically found on LED strips and controllers.

Q: What is the maximum length of LED strip I can run off this splitter?

A:The splitter itself doesn't limit the length. The limit is determined by your power supply's capacity and potential voltage drop over the total length of both strips combined.

Q: Will this work for 4-pin RGB or 6-pin RGBCCT strips?

A:No, this splitter is specifically designed with 5 pins for RGBW or RGBWW LED strip lights. Using it with other types will not work and may damage your components.

Q: Do I need to do any soldering?

A:No, this is a completely solderless solution. It is designed for quick and easy plug-in connections, saving you time and effort.
