How to Use This COB Strip Connector
- Ensure your strip is a 2-pin, non-waterproof (IP20) COB LED strip matching the connector's width (5mm, 8mm, or 10mm).
- Carefully slide the end of the first COB LED strip into one side of the connector. Make sure it is fully seated under the metal contact pins.
- Using a pair of pliers, apply firm and even pressure to press the metal pins completely down. This action pierces the strip's PCB to establish a secure electrical connection.
- Repeat steps 2 and 3 for the second COB strip segment on the other end of the connector.
- Confirm the connection is secure and test the lights to ensure a proper connection has been made before final installation.
- This connector is designed for IP20 non-waterproof COB strips only. Do not use with silicone-coated or waterproof strips.
- Ensure the polarity markings on your LED strips align correctly when making the connection.
- Pliers are required for proper installation. A standard pair of slip-joint or channel-lock pliers works well.
- Do not force the strip into a connector of the wrong size, as this can damage both the strip and the connector.
